This competition exists under the rules laid out by the Scottish Harp Society of America (shsa.org), and we must pay a fee in order to be sanctioned by the parent organization. The reason we do this is to keep the competitions consistent across the USA. Whether a student competes in Georgia or Minnesota, they are judged by the same standards. This allows our students to grow and improve as musicians, performers, and competitors.
